Objective

Adorama has an excellent opportunity for a Professional Outside Account Manager within Adorama’s Commercial Sales Department. This role is comprised of selling as well as market development in the Broadcast & Production market segment. The Account Manager will be responsible for establishing and maintaining business relationships with key decision makers in the Tri-state (NY, NJ, CT) territory with the intent to expand Adorama’s market share. As an Outside Sales Account Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for calling on specific assigned accounts. The role is responsible for delivering Sales based on a Quota consistent with the assigned accounts / territory.  Managing all phases of the sales process, from establishing new accounts through the closing of opportunities, as well as assessment of future needs of our customers.  

Responsibilities

A strong understanding of the Broadcast & Production Market Needs, Including products, applications, and solutions.
Ability to position Adorama product offerings against competitive challenges is expected.
Additional critical tasks will be to provide forecast for existing business and drive internal activities with the intent of providing better customer satisfaction and increasing sales.
The Professional Outside Account Manager will interface directly with the Customer as well as internal marketing, engineering and demand planning groups in order to meet the goals and objectives.
Must have a broad business background, strong problem solving skills, and demonstrated creativity in overcoming sales barrier.
Must be able to make professional and compelling presentations; communicate effectively to large and small audiences; and have strong organization and time management skills.
Ability to carry a quota and be held accountable for SALES RESULTS
Maintain communication with existing/potential customers to ensure all their needs are being met
Cold call to generate and develop new customer accounts to increase revenue
Cross sell existing customers new product categories and expand business within each account
Emphasize product features and benefits, quote prices, and answer customer questions
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by participating in training opportunities
Review professional publications and establish professional networks to stay current with critical marketplace information

Skills & Experience

Must have 5 to 7 years related experience
Prior experience with creating and executing major account penetration plans.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Willing to travel and attend trade shows/conferences
Healthy network of broadcast& production clients a plus

Must live in the greater New York Area and have the ability to be at NYC HQ as needed
