 Our NJ Warehouse

At the 225,000 square-foot Adorama warehouse, we use the latest technology to distribute items to our store in New York and to customers worldwide. When items are received, they are sorted and stocked using a computer system that eliminates the possibility of errors. When an order is received, we use handheld computers to find your items. Once selected, the items are sent to the shipping department for distribution.

This proprietary warehouse management system maximizes efficiency, leading to blazing fast order fulfillment time, increased accuracy and enhanced customer service. It helps us to keep costs down, leading to lower prices for our customers. The end result is fast, error-free shipments and accurate inventory so customers quickly get exactly what they want.

 E- commerce Logistics Continuous Improvement Manager

This position works under the General Manager to identify areas of improvement, create projects, and gather resources for projects. This position manages and tracks the progress of short and long-range business objectives; Works closely with HR and GM regarding employee engagement, safety, and performance issues; develops managers’ skills in performance standards and metrics. Drives customer satisfaction and costs reduction by simplifying processes which: Identifies and defines existing process gaps understanding root cause and drivers-process; Challenge existing operational processes and constantly review delivery processes, methodology and tools end-to-end and look at time, budget, scope, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Cost Efficiency
    • Support the delivery of better value and greater efficiency through the identification and elimination of unnecessary complexity within business processes and identification of better ways of working 
  • Meet Customer service level :
    • Develop, execute and manage efforts to improve on-time delivery to our customers
  •  Building and coaching teams:
    • Lead and facilitate LEAN/ Process improvement based workshops to drive ideas and solutions
    • Provide leadership by mentoring associates in the use of Lean tools, ensuring transfer of knowledge and creating a culture of continuous improvement.
    • Work with and/or manage cross-functional teams to define and plan scope for projects from initiation through implementation and operational transition.
    • Maintain a high team commitment to achieving project results
    • Identify training priorities and opportunities
  • Operations
    • Provides follow-up to monitor the progress of improvement and implementation, assure timely action, understanding situation development solutions consistent with business strategies
    • Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.

 SKILLS:

 The E- commerce Logistics Continuous Improvement Manager must possess strong business expertise, be technically adept with a strong aptitude for continuous improvement, preferably in a distribution E-Commerce environment. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of developing successful and robust continuous improvement programs and strategies. Additional requirements include:

  • Able to apply Lean concepts and tools (5S, value stream mapping, visual workplace, etc.)
  • Able to lead/facilitate kaizen events.
  • Experience communicating with individuals at all levels of an organization in formal, written and verbal formats including group presentations.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify process improvement opportunities and quantify their costs and benefits.
  • Contagious energy, strong persuasive skills, and exceptional problem solving abilities
  • Possesses the influencing skills necessary to motivate up, across and down the organization 
  • Excellent Computer Skills: Microsoft Excel (ability to create, interpret, and manage data analysis, Pivot tables, dashboard, statistic data etc.,) Microsoft Word and Power Point a must!
