Job Summary

The Social Media Associate is part of a team that manages content planning and posting function for social platforms.   The Associate delivers content plans that increase brand awareness and brand love including building campaigns to attract engage and inspire customers across social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat and Pinterest). Works cross-functionally with category teams to identify strategic initiatives, takes input and develops industry leading creative that is on-time, on-brief and ultimately drives the business forward. Community manages day-to-day social channels using measurement, analytics and reports for social KPIs for optimization and analysis.  

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Contributes to building Omni-channel social media programs
    Owns the organic social media marketing campaigns across social platforms for all categories
    Evaluates emerging technologies and determines the business case for Adorama
    Builds and executes social media campaigns for original content, product announcements and relevant promotions
    Works with talent on expanding social influencer marketing campaigns.  Analyzes how customers engage with Adorama across social platforms
    Partners with Paid Media to build cohesive social media campaigns 
    Analyzes social activities and their impact on business results. 
    Reports on progress against goals and relevant social marketing metrics to management
    Coordinates, collaborates and builds relationships with social marketers and teams across Adorama
    Tracks competitive space and best-in-class social media content creators
    Develops relevant content topics and conversations to reach the company’s target customers
    Creates, curates, and manages content published on social media channels (images, video and written)
    Monitors, listens and responds to users in a “Social” way while cultivating leads and sales
    Participates in the design of social-first content (i.e.: Facebook Timeline cover, profile pic, thumbnails, ads, landing pages, Twitter profile, Pinterest assets, etc.)
    Participates in efforts to build online reviews and reputation 
    Analyzes key metrics on an on-going basis and tweaks strategy as needed

    Contributes to reports for management showing results (ROI)

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in Marketing, Business Administration, English or Communications
    Minimum 2 years’ experience in social media as a community manager or strategist.  Experience within e-commerce and digital marketing preferred
    Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Photoshop
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    Demonstrated knowledge and immersion in social media
    Knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube, Google+) and how each platform can be used in different scenarios
    Ability to think laterally and creatively and problem-solve while multi-tasking
    Ability to analyze, evaluate and effectively communicate social media performance
