We are a division of Adorama Camera, founded in 1977, which is a full-service destination for photo, video, and electronics, with the flagship store on 18th street in Manhattan, NY. AdoramaPix.com launched in 1996.

Job Summary

We are looking for a .NET Developer to join our technology team in building and supporting our state-of-the-art Photo editing and eCommerce platform. While the current system is built and maintained by an off-shore development firm, this is an opportunity to assist in the code base and integrate the Microsoft .NET back-end with forward-looking mobile and HTML5 Javascript MVC apps.

The position will report to the CTO of AdoramaPix, and be involved with all aspects of the development cycle, working collaboratively with our Senior Director of Product Management. We follow the Agile scrum development process and modern development practices – and continually improve on each. 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Design and develop multitier web applications for customers and internal users using ASP.NET MVC, SQL, JavaScript frameworks and jQuery
  • Following Agile Software Process, and Agile process improvement, collaborating with different team members throughout the business
  • Support & Test existing eCommerce and back-end photo platform, including escalation to CTO and offshore team
  • Support Customer Service team and Fulfillment lab team on order issues
  • Support integration with third-party tools (i.e. Zendesk, USAePay, Paypal, Google/Facebook photos)
  • Monitor, optimize, document and maintain systems to ensure the best performance

Qualifications and Skills

  • 2 - 5 years software development experience
  • Experience supporting an eCommerce system
  • Proficient with relational databases and data models
  • Proficient in .NET technologies - ASP.NET MVC, WebAPI, Microsoft Visual Studio (MVS) and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
  • Strong coding skills – design, readability, comments, unit tests 

Optional Skills:

  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks, such as REACT and jQuery a plus
  • Experience with Mobile Development a plus
  • Experience in Agile Scrum process a plus

Location:

 The position is full-time, located in Brooklyn, NY. Remote work not available.

Salary is commensurate with experience.
